What happens: the terraces climb in rings under a hall roofed with living vines, lit violet. Fallow shows the player that Tenders draw in long unbroken curves, never a corner, and that everything here is allowed to grow and allowed to die. The player can learn Root from the gardeners, a whole glyph cut in a living vine. A decay terrace is overrun by a bramble glint, a glint that has grown into the hedges; Coil, Mend and Root make it stronger, Gale, Repel and Wither hurt it. The Wither fragment, a curl of dead wood, is on the dead stump at its centre. Root's field effect opens the vine-locked doors here (the Spell Set's Bloom is folded into Root).

From Walkthrough: Act 2 › Chapter 6: Faction Visits (optional) › Greenvault: the terraces

6.1: Bloom removed; Root's field effect opens vine-locked doors; Wither is key item fragment_wither (item.fragment_wither) (VEL-63 spell schedule)

From Walkthrough: Act 4 › Continuity notes › Change log

Spells Gained: Repel into Gale row now Headwind; Weigh added (main, every path); Bloom removed; Wither shows fragment_wither; Squall and Tailwind split (Squall whole from fragment_squall, Tailwind taught by Dace; side quests tab); Facet Seal row names both fragment items (VEL-63 spell schedule)

From Walkthrough: Act 4 › Continuity notes › Change log

Thorn_warden: Bevel Lash gated "if both halves are found"; drops living_vine, violet_blossom → evane_silver x2, coin removed; "overworld spell Bloom" → Root's field effect, no Bloom spell (VEL-63 drop map, Bloom folded into Root)

From Walkthrough: Act 4 › Continuity notes › Change log

Root: Learned "vine roof of the hall" → a whole glyph cut in a living vine; field line says there is no Bloom spell (VEL-63 schedule)

From Walkthrough: Act 4 › Continuity notes › Change log

Where it appears: Act 2, Greenvault's vine-locked terraces (opened by Root's field effect; there is no Bloom spell).

From Bestiary › Faction guardians and enforcers › Thorn warden — `thorn_warden`

Each Evane faction has four spells and no faction covers every role, so an Evane player still has to learn from more than one faction for a full kit. The Facets cover every role on their own, but every Facet spell is asymmetric and hard to draw. The Spell Set's three overworld-only spells are folded in: Listen stays a spell, Bloom becomes Root's field effect and Ford becomes Drift's.

From Spell Roadmap › At a glance

Field: grows a vine across a gap or up a wall, and opens vine-locked doors (the Spell Set's Bloom, folded in: there is no Bloom spell).

From Spell Roadmap › The spells › The Tenders

Overworld spells folded in: Bloom becomes Root's field effect and Ford becomes Drift's. Listen keeps its shape and gains a battle effect.
