Chapter
Assist
Assist spells make the next casts better rather than doing anything themselves. Hasten is the one that matters most for mastery: a longer breath window leaves room for longer composites.
| Spell | Faction, style | Shape | Size, breath | Effect | Learned |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tailwind | Waymakers, parallel | Both thumbs: a check mark, a short stroke down and to the right, then a long one up and to the right | 28 mm, 600 ms | Your next 2 casts get +25% power | Act 2, Waymaker side quest |
| Echo | Still Choir, mirrored | A tiny arc, top to bottom, bulging outward | 14 mm, 900 ms | Recasts your previous spell at half power | Act 2, Hushfold (taught by Wen) |
| Hasten | Keepers, mirrored | A spiral from the centre outward, one and a half turns clockwise | 28 mm, 750 ms | Breath window +40% for 12 s | Act 3, the Hour Stair |
| Crown Surge | Facets, asymmetric | Left: a W, down and up twice, moving outward. Right: a circle, clockwise from the top | 28 mm, 850 ms | Costs you 15 HP; your next cast gets +60% power | Act 3, warp-born glyph |
Crown Surge is the Facet way in miniature: more power than any Evane assist, paid for by the caster.
